Dr. Lindsay Chimileski

Dr. Lindsay Chimileski is a distinguished and multifaceted professional in the field of holistic health, fulfilling many roles as a naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, herbalist, yogi, naturalist, writer, and educator. Based in Connecticut, Dr. Chimileski owns her practice, Hawthorn Holistic Health. She holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master's degree in Acupuncture. Prior to this, she pursued studies in Human Development and Family Studies, concentrating on psychology, mindfulness, and family dynamics. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chimileski has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine, where she contributed her botanical expertise to the education of future practitioners. She regularly engages in lecturing, both within the local community and at larger medical, herbal or mushroom conferences and festivals. Dr. Chimileski finds rejuvenation through outdoor activities, including foraging, gardening, hiking, and practicing yoga, which further enrich her holistic approach to health and well-being.

Dr. Chimileski is passionate about her role as a naturopathic physician because it allows her to deliver unique and personalized care, tailored to the changing needs of the patient throughout various stages of life. Meeting the patient where they are at, treatment plans are a multifactorial balancing act of natural therapies and lifestyle counseling geared towards reducing symptom intensity, empowering the patient and increasing mental well-being. This is done while digging deeper to identify and treat the underlying causes of the imbalances, a process that can often take more time and fortitude to address.

The goal is to make lasting health improvements, improve quality of life, and to create space for prevention too. This combination catalyzes healing and supports the patient during the sometimes difficult transitions, and as they make nutritional and/or lifestyle changes. It is an ongoing conversation- offering accountability, problem solving, new ideas and education to nourish, understand and love their body and its innate wisdom. Her synergistic combination of Naturopathic Philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and always learning from Nature, allows her to bring a multifaceted approach to women’s health, anxiety, infertility, digestive disorders, cognition and chronic or acute pain. She is also a registered herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild.
